Major accident averted in Bhilai: Fall ceiling structure of flyover collapsed due to strong storm, people narrowly escaped

Durg. During the storm that hit Bhilai last night, a major accident was averted at the flyover located at Chandra Maurya Chowk on National Highway 53. Here, the aluminum false ceiling installed for decoration under the flyover suddenly collapsed and fell on the road below. During this time, people passing under the overbridge had a narrow escape. It was fortunate that there were less people on the road due to the storm, otherwise anyone could have fallen under these heavy false ceilings and got seriously injured. After this accident, the traffic police immediately contacted the construction agency and removed the aluminum seat lying on the road.

Let us tell you that this is not the first incident, even before this on January 4, the fall ceiling installed in the flyover near Nehru Nagar Chowk had fallen in a similar manner. And now once again such an incident has come to light. In this matter, Traffic TI Chandrakant Kosaria has said that action will be taken against the agency which is constructing this fall ceiling.

Eyewitnesses of the accident at Chandra Maurya Chowk said that there was a sudden change in the weather in the evening and it started raining with a strong storm. During this time the aluminum seat fell down. The wind was blowing so fast that within a short time three seats, one after the other, fell down. After which the traffic police reached the spot and immediately rectified the system.
