Raipur. Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel seems to be in trouble in the Mahadev Satta App case. Before the elections, EOW has registered an FIR against Bhupesh Baghel and 21 other people. This FIR was registered on March 4, but it has come to light only now. EOW has registered an FIR on the application given by ED. Earlier, ED had mentioned the name of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in its supplementary challan given in the court in the Mahadev Satta App case. Let us tell you that the Enforcement Directorate had earlier stated in the report given in the court regarding Mahadev App that the promoters of Mahadev Book App, Ravi Uppal, Shubham Soni, Saurabh Chandrakar, Anil Kumar Aggarwal had used off-line betting for illegal betting in various live games. Instead of creating an online platform as an alternative, betting was done through various websites through mediums like WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram.

The promoters of Mahadev Book App obtained the protection of various police and administrative officials and influential political persons to stop legal action against the online betting app, in return for which they were regularly given huge amounts of protection money. Hawala operators were used to arrange and distribute the said illegal amount, and police officers/employees were also used to distribute illegal protection money to police and administrative officials.
This amount of protection money reached the police officers and employees distributing the money through Hawala operators, which was then distributed by them to the concerned police/administrative officers and influential political persons. Various police, administrative officers and influential political persons have misused their positions and acquired illegal property by getting illegal economic benefits in the form of protection money.
