Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today inaugurated the Bilaspur-Delhi and Bilaspur-Kolkata direct flight services by virtually flagging off from his residence office in Raipur. During this time, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao and many public representatives were present at Bilasa Devi Kenvat Airport in Bilaspur and Lok Sabha MP Sunil Soni at the Chief Minister's residence. On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that it is the resolve of our Prime Minister that even those wearing slippers should be able to travel by air. For this purpose, air services are being expanded across the country. Today, a long standing demand of the people of Nyayadhani Bilaspur is being fulfilled. Direct air service is being started from Bilaspur to Kolkata and from Bilaspur to New Delhi. From my side, I offer many congratulations and best wishes to the people of Bilaspur for this.

The Chief Minister said that this is a matter of happiness for Chhattisgarh. The entire Chhattisgarh including Bilaspur will get the benefit of this air service. On behalf of the people of Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for starting the new air service and expressed his gratitude to him.

Chief Minister Sai said that today there is a very good news for Jagdalpur also, today air service is being started from Jagdalpur to Jabalpur also. The people of Bastar region will benefit from this air service. Here doors to new possibilities will open in the fields of trade and tourism, education, health, industry etc. The Chief Minister said that the work of upgrading Bilaspur airport is going on. Night landing facility will soon be available here.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Bilha MLA Dharam Lal Kaushik, Kota MLA Atal Srivastava, Mayor Bilaspur Ramsharan Yadav, District Panchayat President Bilaspur Arun Singh Chauhan, Commissioner Shikha Rajput Tiwari, Collector Avnish Sharan, SP Rajnesh Singh, Corporation Commissioner Amit Kumar, Leader of Opposition Rajesh Singh, District President Ramdev Kumawat and a large number of passengers and distinguished citizens were present in the corporation. Many officials including Secretary Aviation Dayanand P., Director Aviation Neelam Namdev Ekka were present at the Chief Minister's residence.

72 seat plane will be operated

Bilasa Devi Kenvat Airport Chakarbhata Bilaspur has received 3 CVFR license. A 72 seater plane will operate here. The Aviation Department has applied for 3 CIFR for night landing facility at this airport. This facility will also start soon at Bilaspur airport.

Alliance Air is providing facilities

Today, three air services are being started in Chhattisgarh by Alliance Air. Of these, two air services from Bilaspur are Delhi-Bilaspur-Delhi and Kolkata-Bilaspur-Kolkata and Jabalpur-Jagdalpur-Jabalpur. Today the first direct flight from Kolkata arrived in Bilaspur at 8.55 and left for Kolkata at 9.40. Similarly, the second flight from Delhi arrived in Bilaspur at 9.30 and left for Delhi at 10.10.

Will not have to go to another city for flight
