Kushinagar. Asha workers from across the district came to the Collectorate on Monday under the banner of Asha Bahu Kalyan Samiti regarding their seven-point demands. These people protested by closing the gate of the Collectorate. After this, he met the DM and submitted his memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister and demanded that it be completed.
Under the leadership of State President of Asha Bahu Kalyan Samiti, Seema Singh, Asha workers from different parts of the district gathered at the district headquarters. After this, they reached the Collectorate shouting slogans and closed the gate and sat on strike. The State President said that Asha workers should be given the status of permanent employees. Under the Prime Minister and Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana, in order to provide awareness and timely medical facilities to the beneficiaries, Asha daughters-in-law and Asha Sanginis were included in this scheme by selecting them as permanent employees. A fixed honorarium should be arranged instead of remuneration being given in pieces, WHO alone is not enough to give hope and respect to their children in Covid work, permanent fixed honorarium should be arranged, incentive amount should be partially payable by the state and central government. It is insufficient to transfer a nominal amount to the account after absorbing it from the departmental offices. This should be increased.

All these Asha workers said that they have been working since 2005, 2024 has come. Keeping in view the inflation, contract or employee status should be given. On the assurance of DM taking appropriate initiative, Asha workers and comrades opened the gate of the Collectorate and stopped the protest. Although after this she also went to the CMO office, but could not find him. After this she returned later. State vice president of the organization Indubala, state executive members Vibha Rai, Renu Rai, Rajkumari, Neera Devi and other Asha and Sangini were present in this protest and siege.
