Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this in his first meeting held in Srinagar on Thursday. In his first public meeting held at the famous Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar after the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, PM Narendra Modi said that this is the Kashmir which was awaited for years. We were waiting for this new Kashmir for decades. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee had sacrificed his life for this Kashmir.

PM Modi said that Jammu and Kashmir is not just a region but the head of India. Developed Jammu and Kashmir is the priority of developed India. There was a time when the laws applicable in the entire country were not applicable here. Poor welfare schemes were implemented across the country, but my Kashmiri brothers and sisters were not able to get the benefits.

PM Modi said that refugees from Pakistan, people of Valmiki community and sanitation workers were not getting benefits here. People from Scheduled Tribe community are getting reservation and they are also getting reservation in seats. We have given reservation to OBCs of Jammu and Kashmir in Panchayats. Today every class is being returned its rights.
PM Narendra Modi said that today Jammu and Kashmir is breaking all records of tourism. 2 crore people came here in 2023 alone. Not only this, while enumerating the schemes of the government, he said that Jammu and Kashmir is going to get 2 AIIMS. Three Vande Bharat Express trains are operating from here. PM Modi said that in the coming times, the success story of Jammu and Kashmir will become a center of attraction for the whole world.
As soon as we reached Kashmir, we paid obeisance to Shankaracharya Hill.
PM Modi saluted Shankaracharya Hills as soon as he reached Srinagar. Shankaracharya Hills is located in the heart of Srinagar. Shankaracharya temple is built on it. It was established hundreds of years ago by Shankaracharya after reaching Kashmir. PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth about Rs 6,400 crore during his visit to Srinagar. Along with this, PM Narendra Modi also visited an exhibition of local goods.
