Bokaro: Chas police station on Saturday busted a gang involved in loan fraud and arrested four accused. The raiding team under the leadership of DSP Praveen Kumar on Saturday arrested four members of Chas and Bermo areas from different areas of Chas. Sub-Divisional Police Officer Praveen Kumar said that information was received through Bokaro Superintendent of Police that some people from outside are living in a rented house located in Shanti Nagar under Chas police station, through whom they are preparing fake identity cards and documents and helping the common people to get loans. Based on the information received, a raid team was formed. Taking immediate action, the team reached Nayan Kumar's house in Shantinagar. A raid was conducted in the room of Abinash Kumar, who lived on rent, where apart from him, another person Ravi Kumar Sahni was found present. On searching both the persons and the room, many documents related to the fraud were recovered.
Others were also arrested on the behest of the arrested Abinash. After arresting the said two persons and conducting a raid on the behest of both of them, the other two associates Rahul Singh and Golu Kumar were arrested near Chandra Talkies. ATM, bank account, SIM card and other documents which were being used for fraud were recovered from them. DSP Praveen said that raids are going on against other accused involved in the incident, they will be arrested soon. Details of seized items: 5 mobiles, 12 bank passbooks, 43 ATMs, 6 bank checkbooks, 8 PAN cards, 17 Aadhaar cards, 1 voter ID, 18 SIM cards, one pen drive, one vehicle registration card, one biometric machine, one laptop charger, 10 Aadhar enrolment/update forms and a diary have been recovered. Name and address of the arrested accused: – 37 year old Abinash Kumar, resident of house number 686 of Saraswati Nagar located behind Chas block, 21 year old Ravi Kumar Sahni, resident of Bahradih under Fusro of Bermo police station area, 26 year old Rahul Singh, resident of Chhatnitand, Balidih police station area, Chas. 23 year old Golu Kumar, resident of Bansidih, was arrested and sent to jail.
As members of the raiding team, sub-divisional police officer Praveen Kumar, Chas police station inspector cum in-charge Khurshid Alam, police sub-inspector Sandeep Kumar, Ajay Kumar Singh, assistant sub-inspector Prabhat Kiran Kokil, constable Pankaj Kumar, Manoj Mahato, both technical Koshang, Bokaro and police station reserve guard personnel were involved.
