Ashutosh Tiwari, Jagdalpur. In Bastar district, on Valentine’s Day, a drug addict youth killed an innocent 9-year-old child by slitting his throat to take revenge from his father. After getting information about the incident, the police immediately arrested the accused youth from Dharampura area of Jagdalpur city. After interrogation, the dead body of the innocent child and the knife used in the murder were also recovered at the behest of the accused. Another accused has also been arrested by the police.
Bastar ASP Maheshwar Nag told that there was an old enmity between the accused youth and the father of the child. For many days the young man was looking for revenge. On Tuesday evening, the accused youth along with another associate abducted the child by feeding her intoxicating chocolate and brought him to Jagdalpur city and late in the night, killed the innocent child and threw the body in the forest of Parpa.
After the murder, the accused fled from the scene of the incident. After this, the news of child kidnapping spread rapidly among the child’s family members and the area. Upon interrogation, it was revealed that the child was last seen with the accused youth Nitish Kushwaha. After this, the police arrested the accused from Dharampura area of Jagdalpur city itself. The accused told the police that first he was planning to kidnap the child and demand ransom, then suddenly he killed the child.
