NEW DELHI: The central govt has no longer enumerated caste-wise inhabitants instead of Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) within the Census since independence, the Lok Sabha was once knowledgeable on Tuesday.

He mentioned within the Census, the castes and tribes which can be particularly notified as Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) as consistent with the Charter (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950, and the Charter (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950, as amended every so often, are enumerated.
“The federal government of India has no longer enumerated caste-wise inhabitants instead of SCs and STs in Census since independence,” he mentioned, replying to a written query.
