Raipur. 7 October 2024. Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in-charge of Bemetara district, Shri Arun Sao today participated as the chief guest in the housing fair organized in the town-hall of Bemetara under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). He handed over the keys of their newly constructed houses to 12 beneficiaries in the housing fair. He also presented housing approval certificates to 12 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Food Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel and MLA Shri Deepesh Sahu and Shri Ishwar Sahu also participated in the housing fair.
While addressing the housing fair, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said that the objective of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is to provide respectable housing to every poor. Chhattisgarh government is continuously striving to achieve this goal. He said that under the scheme, about 15 thousand new houses have been approved in Bemetara district in the month of September.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao said in the program that the Prime Minister is fulfilling the dream of every poor person to have a permanent house. As soon as our government was formed, we approved 18 lakh houses the next day. Out of these, the first installment has also been released for eight lakh houses. He informed that 32 thousand houses have been completed in Bemetara district. The first installment for the newly approved houses has also been released.
Shri Sao said that everyone dreams of having his own house, in which he can live a safe and peaceful life with his family. Due to financial difficulties and limited income, this seemed only a dream to poor families. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is now turning this dream of the poor into reality.
Food Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel, who was presiding over the program, said in his address that the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is proving to be a boon for the economically weaker sections. With this scheme, the standard of living of lakhs of families in the state is rising. Bemetara District Panchayat President Mrs. Sunita Sahu and District Panchayat member Mrs. Pragya Nirvani, many public representatives and beneficiaries of the housing scheme in large numbers participated in the housing fair.
