Ayushman Arogya Mandir is proving to be a boon in the field of health in Chhattisgarh.

Raipur 10 October 2024/ The state government is very sensitive towards the expansion of health facilities in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has set a target of doubling the health budget to expand health facilities in the state.

State Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal is working to advance health services consciously. At the state level, hospitals like DKS and Mekahara are being equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, while at the divisional level, the work of super specialty hospitals is continuing. Similarly, Ayushman Arogya Mandir at the district and block level is taking special care of the health of the people of the state.

A total of 400 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are currently operating in Chhattisgarh. These Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are proving to be very helpful in providing general information about the basic principles of Ayurveda and information about home remedies and medicines for diseases. Under this, all 12 services are being implemented through AYUSH system due to which the patients are continuously getting benefits. In Ayushman Arogya Mandir, inspiration and training is also being provided to the general public through yoga instructors for daily yoga practice so that the patients remain healthy both physically and mentally.

In Ayushman Arogya Mandir, patients are being continuously treated and taken care of by the Community Health Officer (CHO). People are continuously getting benefits from this initiative of the state government. In Ayushman Arogya Mandir, 1 crore 38 lakh OPD patients and 3 lakh NCD patients are being treated every month, which tells the story of its success.

The main 12 health services provided at Ayushman Arogya Mandir include care during pregnancy and delivery, newborn and child health care services, child and adolescent health care services, family planning contraceptive services and other reproductive health care services, including National Health Programme. Includes management of communicable diseases, management of general communicable diseases and outpatient care for acute common illnesses and minor illnesses. Similarly, services like diagnosis, prevention, control and management of non-communicable diseases, care of common eye and ENT problems, basic oral health care, geriatric and palliative health care services, emergency medical services and diagnosis and basic management of mental health disorders also.
