Another tiger dies in Tiger State: Conservator accuses officials of negligence, says it was shot dead

Shikhil Byohar, Bhopal. News of the death of another tiger has come to light in Tiger State Madhya Pradesh. Tiger conservationist and expert Ajay Dubey has accused the officials of negligence. He said that the tiger has been hunted by shooting. The forest department was informed about the dead body lying there for two days. Even after this, no official paid any attention to it.

The case is from Raisen district. According to the information, a tiger died in Ashapuri Beat RF Compartment 330. Tiger conservationist and expert Ajay Dubey has filed a complaint. In which he said that he had informed the forest department about the dead body lying there for two days. He said that the tiger was hunted by shooting. Also, Ajay Dubey has accused the officials of negligence.

The maximum number of tiger deaths, 12, have occurred in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. The possibility of poaching has also been raised in the case of increasing tiger deaths in Bandhavgarh. This was revealed in the Forest Department Committee.

Tigers are being killed in Madhya Pradesh because of hunters and international smugglers. Hunters and international smugglers are said to be responsible for half the deaths of tigers. Smuggling, not territorial fighting, is responsible for the deaths. More than 65 tigers have died within Bandhavgarh in 10 years. A total of 75 tigers have died in the country so far in 2024. Out of 75 tigers, 23 tigers have died in Madhya Pradesh, 14 in Maharashtra and 12 in Karnataka.
