Shabbir Ahmed, Bhopal. Monsoon is active in entire Madhya Pradesh. Despite this, 45 districts have received less than normal rainfall. Many districts of the state will receive rainfall today as well. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in 11 districts today on Saturday. Also, there is a possibility of sunshine and shade at some places and light to moderate rain in some districts.
Yellow alert in these districts
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains will occur in Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Sheopurkata, Sidhi, Satna, Shahdol, Panna, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari and Mehar districts. Light rains are expected in Bhopal, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Agarmalwa, Singrauli, Rewa, Mauganj, Anuppur, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Damoh, Sagar, Pandhurna districts.

45 districts received less than normal rainfall
Monsoon is active in entire MP, yet 45 districts received less than normal rainfall. The slowness of monsoon may increase the worries of farmers. Kharif crops may get damaged. The entire state has received 14% less rainfall than normal while western Madhya Pradesh has received 2% more rainfall than normal. Out of 55 districts of the state, 45 have received less than normal rainfall. However, good rainfall is expected in the state from 15th July.
