Ujjain. The doors of the world famous Shri Mahakaleshwar temple were opened at 4 am on Monday morning on the Dashami of Krishna Paksha of Ashadh month. Lord Mahakal was first anointed with water. After this, Abhishek Puja was done with Panchamrit made of milk, curd, ghee, honey and fruit juice.
Baba Mahakal was adorned with Bhaang, sandalwood and ornaments. Mahakal was offered ash. Lord Mahakal wore a silver crown of Sheshnag, silver Mundmala, Rudraksha garland along with a garland of fragrant flowers. Fruits and sweets were offered to him.
Hundreds of devotees earned merit by visiting Bhasma Aarti on Monday morning. People visited Nandi Maharaj and went near his ears and sought his blessings for the fulfillment of their wishes. During this, the devotees were also chanting Baba Mahakal’s praises. The entire temple was resonating with Baba’s praises.
