On Thursday’s broadcast of “The This night Display,” the comic stated sorry for his animated look at the superstar by-product, which some critics stated made him the display’s most disturbing contestant ever.
“The display’s been on for over 58 years they usually’ve had 15,000 contestants at the display and Dr. Oz. was once a contestant on …” Minhaj cracked with a dig on the Donald Trump-endorsed GOP candidate for a U.S. Senate seat in Pennsylvania,
Minhaj then made issues worse for himself with hardcore “Jeopardy!” enthusiasts with this, ahem, apology:
“I’m sorry I desecrated an American establishment. I’m sorry I ripped your 7 p.m. linear TV pacifier from your geriatric mouth. And most significantly, I’m sorry for seeking to make ‘Jeopardy!’ amusing.”
“What are you doing?” Fallon joked in reaction.
