EC allots ‘two swords and a defend’ as ballot image to Shinde faction of Shiv Sena

NEW DELHI: The Election Fee on Tuesday allocated ‘two swords and a defend’ because the ballot image to the Eknath Shinde-led faction of the Shiv Sena.

The Shinde faction, which is now named as ‘Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena’, will be capable of use the emblem for the Andheri East meeting bypoll, must it come to a decision to contest the election scheduled for November 3.

In a letter to Maharashtra Leader Minister Eknath Shinde, the Fee mentioned it has made up our minds to claim ‘Do Talwarein aur Ek Dhal (Two Swords & Protect)’ to be a unfastened image and allot it to the candidate arrange, if any, by means of the Shinde-led team within the present bye-election.

The Shinde faction had prompt ‘peepal tree’, ‘sword and defend’, and ‘solar’ as its number of ballot symbols.
