AGRA: A BJP MLA has been booked for harassment and his son for alleged rape after a 36-year-old girl lodged a criticism towards them, police stated on Wednesday.
In keeping with the FIR registered at Tajganj Police Station, the girl was once allegedly raped through Laxmi Kant Verma, son of BJP MLA from the Fatehabad constituency Chhotey Lal Verma, again in 2003 when she was once 17 years previous.
The girl was once a chum of the MLA’s daughter and would talk over with their area steadily, she stated in her criticism.
On November 16, 2003, Laxmi Kant Verma gave her a drink allegedly laced with sedatives and after she fainted, he raped her, the girl stated.
She claimed that the accused recorded a video of the act and threatened her with dire penalties if she instructed any person about it, in line with the criticism.
The girl stated someday later, Laxmi Kant Verma married her at a temple and were given her a task as a receptionist at a cyber cafe in Agra that was once owned through him and his good friend.
The couple’s firstborn was once a woman and because the accused sought after the second one kid to be male, he pressured her to get an abortion.
She later gave beginning to a son, the girl stated.
In 2006, Laxmi Kant Verma married any other girl from Rajasthan after forcing the complainant to signal divorce papers, in line with the FIR.
The girl stated the BJP MLA and different members of the family of the accused have been liable for destroying her and her two kids’s lives.
SHO Tajganj Police Station Bhupendra Baliyan stated, “The criticism has been registered towards Laxmikant Verma below sections 376 (rape), 313 (inflicting miscarriage), 323 and 328 (inflicting harm), 504 (intentional insult), 506 (legal intimidation), 494 (bigamy) of the Indian Penal Code.”
