SRINAGAR The Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA) Monday carried out raids at more than one places towards contributors of banned Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) in Doda and Jammu districts of militancy-hit Jammu and Kashmir in reference to an apprehension investment probe.
NIA sleuths carried out searches at premises of six suspects in Doda district and one suspect in Jammu district, an NIA spokesman stated. “Searches ended in restoration of incriminating literature, receipts of finances raised through JeI, financial institution and belongings similar paperwork, and digital gadgets,” the NIA spokesman stated.
In step with him, the case relates to JeI, which even after its declaration as Illegal Affiliation in 2019, continues to lift finances in more than a few paperwork purportedly for charitable functions.
“Those finances are then again being diverted to militant organisations, comparable to Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, Lashkar-e-Toiba and so on for selling militant actions in Kashmir valley in addition to the remainder of India,” the NIA stated.
The NIA – assisted through police and paramilitary CRPF males – performed searches at Dhara-Gundana, Munshi Mohalla, Akramband, Nagri Nai Basti, Kharoti Bhagwah, Thalela and Malothi Bhalla spaces in Doda district and Bhatindi in Jammu.
The case was once registered suo-motu on 05.02.2021 and NIA has filed chargesheet towards 4 folks within the case thus far.
